Andiana Foundation - Operation Sindoor

On May 6th, 2025, India launched Operation Sindoor, which targeted supposed terrorist strongholds in Pakistan and its administered regions of Kashmir. India’s defense ministry stated that it “demonstrated considerable restraint in selection of targets and method of execution,” purposefully avoiding Pakistani military outposts (Al Jazeera, 2025; Shahzad & Patel, 2025). India’s response to the Pahalgam attack will be a critical point in the fate of South-Central Asia. The deadly attack, which claimed the lives of 26 civilians, was allegedly carried out by a Pakistan-based group associated with Lashkar-e-Taiba, igniting public sentiment in India (Reuters, 2025b).
